As an early childhood special needs teacher, I have worked with young children with a range of needs (autism, ADHD, emotional/behavioral, speech and language, and more) for over a decade. I have truly enjoyed this work and am eager to continue engaging in such care and educational experiences through this web service. I worked both as a classroom teacher and as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher (SEIT), whose focus is to support a child with needs to succeed and be fully included in the regular classroom, interacting with peers, participating in classroom activities, learning to manage and regulate emotions and develop sensory processing skills. My style is open, full of warmth and humor, and I tend to build a fast rapport with children. Observing the positive developmental changes over time is extremely rewarding, and building the relationship with the child and family touches my heart. Please feel free to contact me to learn more and to see if we are a good match. Thanks!

Rachel was a godsend at the time my little boy was needing a lot of help with his behavior and relationships with teachers and classmates, she really made a difference and I want to emphasize that. She worked with him for (I think) 10 hours a week when he was in preschool/Kindergarten several years ago, and I do feel that the three years he spent with her guiding him in the private school he attended made a lasting difference. In terms of his language, attention/focus, interest and ability to play/engage with his buddies, and most importantly just his ability to follow the rules of the classroom and listen to the teacher and take part in the many activities that were available. His anger and frustration really reduced and he seemed to be a much happier kid once things got underway. Lastly, she was amazing with communication, sending us updates and pictures each day. I would really recommend her.
