Although I am currently attending graduate school, my passion and the focus of my career has been my work with families and children, primarily children with special needs. I have worked as a behavior and feeding therapist, as a classroom aide in an inclusion setting, as a special educator and as a childcare and respite care provider for children and young adults with a wide variety of challenges and neuro diversity. My clients have included children with Autism spectrum disorder, Asperger syndrome, Down's Syndrome, mitochondrial and genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, cancer and other developmental and medical diagnosis. My experiences have included childcare, short term and longer term respite care, over night and weekend care. I am well trained in ABA, Verbal Behavior, Son-Rise, and Crisis Prevention. I am looking for a weekend or evening position where I can provide care to a family who prioritizes a high level of attention and respect for their exceptional child.
