I have worked in Human Services for 23 years. I began as a direct support associate during college and have worked in group homes, private homes, extended care facilities, day programs and schools. I have worked for 10+ years to help find jobs for youth, adults with both mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities, as well as veterans returning from deployment. I have also worked with students in both long term and short term emergency respite situations. I love helping people find what they want to do in life and be who they were meant to be.

As a longtime co-worker and team member, I have seen examples of Pier's perseverance in overcoming barriers when it came to assisting her clients obtain social services/programs. When she provided educational/life skills and career exploration sessions for the local high school students who were part of the special education program, Pier empowered teens to be proactive and follow through on their goals to seek more independence. As a pet owner in the community, I have seen Pier step in to rescue abused animals and find suitable homes for them (sometimes even adopting them herself when there was no one else to turn to). Pier would be a wonderful asset to your organization, team or family. If I can provide any additional information on her qualities and values, please do not hesitate to call me.
