I have always been a natural born helper and feel it is my purpose to be of service to others which is why I am always looking to learn new skills and ways serve and am currently in school for massage therapy. I have many years of experience working with people that have special needs and are on the spectrum, though no formal training. My younger brother (and 4 other extended family members) has Fragile X, which is one of the most common causes of intellectual disability though it can also impact behavior. Having grown up around developmental disabilities has taught me patience, gratitude, humility, and true joy. It has also shown me how to care for others that have special needs and help to navigate through challenging situations, while attempting to teach and empower a person to also learn to help themselves.
