My older son was diagnosed with Agensis of the Corpos Collosum (ACC) when he was 3 years old. We have had Early Intervention at our house for the first three years of his life. After that time, we have Speech, PT, and OT therapists at our house for many years in addition to private therapies. Over the years, I have learned many techniques used by the therapists to help promote development. These techniques are beneficial for any child. I have used them on all three of my children, in addition to the children that have been in my care. These techniques can be done in a fun engaging manner. I also believe I have a good ability to include children with developmental delays. I have had exposure to children with development delays at school, social/sporting events. and with friends at our house. These children have had a wide range of diagnoses. I am proficient at adapting activities to include the child at whatever level they can participate and that child feels successful.
