Pat worked for our family for over two months, caring for my father, a terminally-ill cancer patient in his 60s. Pat is passionate, thoughtful, helpful, and has such a caring heart. Pat's duties included transferring patient (physically intense as my father had very little mobility and none at the end), handling and administering medications, monitoring glucose levels, preparing and serving meals, performing light physical therapy exercises, assisting with elimination needs, running errands, cleaning the home, coordinating with other family and hired caregivers (24/7 care needed), and keeping the family informed with a daily online journal. Pat was eager to help out but my father's care was particularly involved and specialized and sometimes reminders were needed. It took a little time to get up to speed with my father's care and his routine. Pat was always prompt (often early) and brought a with him calming and caring presence, and he always made sure my father's needs were met. Once Pat came immediately at the crack of dawn during an emergency situation. We were grateful to have had Pat's help during a difficult time in our lives.
