I have 15+yrs experience working with autistic children and adults. As a mother of my own autistic 15 yr old son I know the true day to day experiences and hard work that it takes to care for a child/adult with special needs. I have done a lot of volunteer work for the Special Olympics as well as volunteering at a school for autistic children. I am very passionate in this line of work and have a big place in my heart for individuals with special needs. I understand that some adults and children with special needs are non verbal, not potty trained, and even have melt downs at times and I am very capable of handling those situations.
