In high school, I was a teacher's aide for the special needs department. I worked with many different kids with different disabilities and it was a lot of fun. I would help them in classes such as English and social studies, and would play games and sports with them in gym. This past school year, I got a job as a one on one at a middle school, being an aide for two students with disabilities. I would help them in each class and taught them behavioral and social skills. It has been a huge learning experience and I really enjoy helping make their daily lives just a little easier. No matter how I felt going into work, those kids could always put a smile on my face or make me laugh. They are amazing people and have the kindest hearts and I love helping them.
