Nikki is a no-nonsense, take charge caregiver who is able to balance being firm with compassion. We hired Nikki in March 2020 to care for our 83-year-old mother who suffers from dementia. Even with dementia, our mother is a type-A personality with an uncanny ability to talk her way into or out of anything. Nikki quickly ascertained it was best to let my mother believe she is still in control of decision making, while gently and sometimes non-verbally redirecting my mother to do what's best and safest for her. Due to COVID-19 restrictions for families, Nikki keeps tabs on our mothers' supplies and provides us great detail when describing our mother's daily dealings with dementia through daily email logs. When our mother had surgery on her knee, Nikki offered to (and did) spend the night with our mother in her apartment to calm our mother's confusion as she woke several times that night, not understanding the reason for bandages on her leg. Nikki is extremely flexible and accommodating with her schedule, and is truly dedicated to her profession. We would highly recommend Nikki as a senior caregiver/care companion and continues to provide excellent service for our mother.
