My background includes experience working with disabled children in a realm of services. First, I have grown up with twin cousins with special needs, one diagnosed with severe Cerebral Palsy and his twin diagnosed with Down syndrome. I am more than comfortable in engaging in activities with persons with disabilities, and I am equipped to handle most situations. I will have my Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders, pursuing a Master's Degree in the fall to specialize in medical speech and language services. I have also volunteered at the CMU Health and Field Day, which brings children from around the area to CMU's indoor track, and we prepare fun games and activities to promote healthy living. Many of the students that come to this even are handicapped and required the use of wheelchairs and extreme assistance. I enjoy interacting and entertaining these children every year.
