I started my child care career when I was 16, by baby sitting on the weekends. During high school, I worked at the YMCA. I was a swim coach and I worked in their after school program. When I graduated high school, I began working at a preschool in their infant and 1-year-old rooms. I was taking classes to become a teacher during that time. I moved up to teaching first grade at that same school. I taught 1st grade there for 2 years and then I taught K4 for 6 months as well. I then got a job as a nanny. The baby was 3 months old when I started. I love being a nanny and working with families. I love kids and helping others and I feel like I get to do both as a nanny. I was took care of house hold needs and errands for the family.
