About Monica

I'm Monica, a former Teach for America teacher, Harvard graduate and education researcher with over 20 years of childcare experience. I've taught Kindergarten and Special Education, worked in a home daycare and have cared for children since I was 13. My background in child development, literacy and family engagement allows me to support both academic and emotional needs. I truly enjoy being around children and making sure they feel confident, understood and joyful. Families describe me as thoughtful, caring, grounded and nurturing. I value calm routines, healthy meals, creativity and meaningful connection. I love cooking, rock climbing, traveling and speaking languages (English, Spanish, plus some German, Catalan and Portuguese). Would live to connect and learn more about your family! :)
