I had a young boy that had low syndrome. I couldn't wait to go to work and start my day. When he was in my classroom he would bring a smile to my face everyday. He had the best personality and a great sense of humor. That was my baby and still is, unfortunately he had to move up to the pre-k class. This will be my last year to see him. He made a powerful impact and difference in my life. He is very bright and also very smart. He still runs to me and greets me everyday when he sees me and it just makes my day. The most rewarding part of my job is teaching the children and guiding them for personal growth. It's a great feeling to know that I can be a great impact on children's lives. I love when a parent comes and tells me, "You know, my child is actually learning in your classroom" or a simple "Thank you." It brings joy to my heart to know not only did I teach a child something but they're actually implementing it in their little lives. When a parent reveals to me that their child says, out of the blue, "I just love Miss Michicka" it lets me know that I'm doing my job. For me, this is a career and my life--not just a babysitting job as some may perceive it to be. It's getting a chance to get up every morning and change lives and teach these little children to grow up to be healthy, strong, smart, and bright little individuals.
