I have a degree in Dementia Care. I went to school to get my CNA. I have had classes in both CPR and First Aid. I've worked in a nursing home setting, and I've done in-home care. When I was little, my grandma was my favorite. She lived in an assisted living facility, played in a band, and taught me so many life lessons. Taking care of, or helping, other people are a great love of mine. I like going on short trips, if they're able, grocery shopping, housework, cooking, help with bathing, etc. The last lady I cared for had Alzheimer's was 92, and very spunky. I took her to mass on Wednesdays, the museum, farmer's market, and out for drives. I had 3 wonderful years with her, (she lived with her son) until she passed away at the age of 95. I would love to find someone to care for, or assist with whatever their needs may be. I like to fish, kayak, read, and spend time with my 18 year old daughter.
