Caring for people with special needs has always held a special place in my heart. I am a Communication Disorders major, so disability plays a large role in my future career. I have been involved within the Special Olympics since my sophomore year of high school, and it never fails to amaze me how incredible and inspiring each and every one of the athletes are. I have educational background in Disability Studies, as well as other Psychology classes, so I feel like I have a proficient educational background in supporting children with special needs. I would love to be a part in helping give care to a child with special needs, as well as their family.
