I am currently attending to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant. I have passed the Nursing Assistant class and the State Testing Nursing Assistant Exam. Helping others have a good quality of life is what I find the most meaning in. I have the most experience in elder care at nursing homes (including caring for those with Dementia and Alzheimer's), but also have experience caring for children, toddlers, and infants. I recently completed an internship at a Pediatric Therapy office, where I learned a lot about sensory processing disorders. I love incorporating art, crafts, music, and games into the care I give. I try to give a balanced form of care that incorporates basic activities of daily living, rest/ leisure, play, health management, and social interaction. I am also able to do housekeeping. I have been employed as a veterinary assistant and a dog boarding worker. I provide animal care if needed, as well.
