I believe good communication with parents is important so that I can follow their lead as far as caregiving style and maintain consistency as far as rules, discipline, routines, etc. I try to keep myself informed about child development through doing my own reading, and I am also currently taking a class through my college. I work to provide age-appropriate activities that will support children's holistic well-being.
I am hoping to become a pediatric nurse and would be more than happy to work with children with special needs. I also have a special interest in twins and multiples and am looking to gain more experience in this area. When caring for any child, I work to make individual and meaningful connections. I am open to learning about your family's way of doing things or even special skills specific to your child's situation, and this makes me a highly adaptable caregiver able to work with all kinds of different families and situations.
