About Melissa

Hello! My name is Melissa, or "Miss S" to my students. I have 10 years of teaching experience in grades K-6. I have worked in a variety of school settings, including a Philadelphia charter school for 3 years, and public schools including Twin Valley and Wilson School Districts. I was recently hired to teach learning support with West Chester Area School District, and I'm so excited to be starting with them for the 2020-21 school year. I tutor children with a variety of academic and behavioral needs in grades K-6. I am an energetic, fun, and athletic person. I'm also very gentle, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of others. I have a great deal of experience with children. I was a nanny before I was hired as a teacher. I would be more than happy to provide tutoring services for your children, in order to help them succeed in the general education classroom. Quality hour-long sessions will undoubtedly increase your child's confidence and performance at school.
