Hello! My name is Melissa. I am 28 years old and a pastry chef graduate from Le Cordon Bleu. I work for a small start up that I am taking a break from and I am looking for a family to work with for at least 6months- 1 year minimum. Open to staying longer if there is a fit :) At Adjuvant Behavioral Health, I am a Senior Recruiter and Human Resources Manager, I also help out with Marketing. I love helping others find roles but my first love is working with children! I have nannied/baby sat off and on since I was 14 years old and I have stayed in touch with families that would love to provide references upon your request. I have experience watching up to 5 children at once, managing calendars and households, and cooking for/cleaning households. I have worked with children as young as 4 months, and as old as 15 years old. I have worked with Special Needs as well as in a school setting at Abbott Middle School when I was a student there!

Melissa was a full-time nanny for our son, and then transitioned to a sitter for events and nights out. She is incredibly patient, super attentive, creative and fun, and hands-down our kids' favorite care provider! Her culinary experience resulted in a ton of yummy and exciting baking projects, which the whole family enjoyed. My son has special needs and had extremely challenging behaviors, and Melissa provided skilled and compassionate care for him. She implemented (and improved upon!) complex behavior reinforcement plans, had the patience of a saint during the trying times, and was excellent at communicating about how each day went. No matter how difficult the day was, she left with a smile on her face, reassuring words, and unwavering commitment. She is very responsible, and has taken both of my sons on multiple outings and provided after school pickup. I can't say enough wonderful things about Melissa - she's an absolute gem! My sons think the world of her, and so do we!
