I am a type 1 diabetic for the past 7 yrs, so I know how to handle daily life with diabetes. Also, I have cared for both my sister, who has multiple intellectual and learning disabilities, and my cousin who is on the autism spectrum. My mom is a nurse so I have been very involved in volunteering with organizations for children living with heart conditions. I am comfortable with administering medicine according to directions, as well as directing appropriate behavioral activities depending on each individual's abilities. I have also studied and written extensively on the rights of Americans with disabilities, and it my passion to help others live a full and rich life despite life with chronic illnesses.
