I'm a 25-year-old who has worked with kids for the past 11 years. I am originally from Toms River, New Jersey. I love music, the beach, outdoor activities, snowboarding, and arts and crafts. I began my child care experience with various babysitting jobs. In 2006/2007, I worked in two summer camps: one being Brick Township PAL (Police Athletic League) and the other was run through Toms River Township and based at Citta Elementary School. During that time I worked with second and third graders and was in charge of about 20-30 children with the help of two other co-counselors. We helped organize field trips and small-large group activities. I completed 900 hours in Early Child Care at Brick Vocational School (2008). During vocational school, I learned how to care for preschool aged children, maintain a small house, prepare healthy meals, and assist teachers. I also worked at the vocational schools' day care. I organized and helped prepare crafts, I took part in playtime, prepared snacks, and participated in "circle time". I completed an Associate Degree in Elementary Education at Ocean County College (2011). Then started working at the Oxygen Sports and Fitness Daycare Center. In 2012 I left New Jersey and moved to South Carolina to complete my Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences majoring in Sociology. Recently I have relocated to North Carolina to be near family who are in the military. I love kids, and I am experienced in working with ages 0-15. I believe it is in the best interest of children to focus on self worth and paying attention to likes dislikes and talents that each individual child possesses. I'm energetic, patient, trustworthy and would be happy to assist!
