My name is Max, my pronouns are they/them, and I have almost two decades of experience in education, social work, crisis response, and care work. I started working when I was 13, babysitting and working at a summer camp. I have done 1 to 1 care with high needs clients, have cared for infants through teenagers, and pride myself in my ability to see people, get to know them, and help them work towards the life they want for themselves. I've worked in off grid one room school houses on collective land projects, have taught English in community schools abroad, worked in US public schools as a literacy tutor, taught life skills to autistic young men, and have worked in acute crisis care positions. One of my favorite jobs was being the director and head teacher of a wilderness kindergarten program in Virginia, where all the staff lived in tents, and our classroom was the national forest. I am kind, loving, enthusiastic, and have strong boundaries. I look forward to hearing from you!

Max is the best nanny I've ever had! They were so great to have with my little guy. He's a special kid, and his mood changes pretty quick. They are so adaptable, and creative. I knew he would always be safe and cared for with them. They are so so so good at connecting with children with special needs. They taught me some really helpful little tricks to keep in my back pocket, and were always doing research and reading books and watching videos to learn more about my child's needs. They went above and beyond, and I am so glad they were a party of our family before we found the right school. It was a tough time for us, but they made it so much easier, and made our transitions manageable. Thank you Max, and good luck with whatever lucky family gets to have you next!
