I truly do enjoy being with babies and children of all ages. I began babysitting when I was 13 years old, and before that, with my older sister. I would beg to volunteer in our church nursery every Sunday. I was very blessed to be an at-home mother for most of the years that my children were young and became a professional volunteer and PTO board member at their schools Now that they are all grown up (27, 29 and 30) and I have an "empty nest", I am taking care of others. I believe that a great caregiver treats children as if they were her own, but within parental boundaries. I consider myself to be kind, friendly, reliable, nurturing, responsible and trustworthy. I have been told that I am a natural with children, "with the patience of a saint". All children deserve that. I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, helping with homework and school projects, building forts, playing Legos and games and taking walks. In my free time, I enjoy babysitting, kayaking, DIY projects, baking and birding.
