My little lady was 89 years old with Dementia. She was in an accident January 2017 which broke her hip. While being under anesthesia it didn't help the progression of her dementia it made it worse. There were a lot of changes due to Ms. R liked to go go go and her modesty she never understood at the end why she couldn't use the restroom in her restroom. I bathed her checked vitals prepared meals no matter how many I had to prepare until I found what she liked. I made sure she had church in her living room every Sunday and her church brought communion. I worked closely with Hospice when dealing with her care & medications she never was left wet, or unattended to. I never wanted her to feel she was alone if she was unable to see me in the kitchen her bed was turned . When entering a job of this kind you have to have the heart to do it a calmness about you that won't upset the patient. Housekeeping, laundry, maintained yard when able. Picked up meds and charted each shift.
