I am a college student who is currently attending Rutgers. I like to think of myself as smart and caring, and I love working with people to expand their skills and make their days brighter. I have worked for over 6 years with adults with developmental disabilities. I have experience caring for them, taking them on fun excursions, and teaching them about public interactions and safety. I also worked as a job trainer to teach them how to perform tasks that would help them gain employment, such as stocking shelves or using a cash register. I am looking for a job during the day to accommodate my night class schedule. I am able to help an individual through a lot of daily tasks, but I have a back injury so I will not be able to regularly lift them. My ideal job would be one where I can form a bond with the person I am working with so I can then help them accomplish their goals in life.
