I have over 40 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, providing supportive care and assisting with activities of daily life. I retired from the DDSO in 2007 and continued working part-time for People, Inc. in a group home with only two individuals. Earlier this year, one of the individuals was hospitalized and then transitioned to a long-term nursing facility and the house closed. I am seeking to pick up 15-20 hours a week working with an individual who requires support. I am happy to work in your home and am also comfortable taking your loved one out for meals, shopping or anything else they'd like to do in the community. I am flexible and easy-going. I can provide references as requested.
