About Maribel

During my community service in High School, I volunteered at an Elementary as an after-school care helper. I helped care for kids with Special Needs and, on a regular basis, every day I would assist in caring for a class of 20 kids ranging in age from 5 to 7 years old kids. I totally loved the experience of sharing in their fun at the school park, reading for them at the library, and making craft and science projects. This experience taught me to bond with kids as well as understand them when they're experiencing tantrums and how to best handle these in a loving and patient manner. I love to hear what they have to say, play with them and show them respect. I have also cared for my niece and nephew from their infancy and in the last three years I have had the honor to babysit for a few families where I've gained more experience. I feel very confident in my babysitting because I care for my charges as if they were my own.
