About Maria

I have known Maria for over 2 years. In that time I have known her to be very dedicated, respectful, and loyal to her work. She demonstrated this to me when I met her working and assisting patients in orthotics and prosthetics. I have also had the privilege of witnessing her generous and considerate behavior when we volunteered together for the Braille challenge each year. This is a special occasion where we assist the visually impaired as they showcase their amazing skills and talents for family and friends. Maria and I have also volunteered cleaning and feeding the homeless at a Los Angeles soup kitchen. While I may have only done this a handful of times, Maria has been donating her time for her entire life. I happen to know that she takes great pride in taking care of others. It's quite clear to me and others who have met Maria that she is only fulfilled when she is actively improving the lives of the people she comes into contact with. Before I met Maria she also obtained experience as a care giver for a quadriplegic elderly woman. Maria won't be completely satisfied until she has achieved her lifelong goal of becoming a registered nurse.
