I worked at an adult care facility before school became busy and I took care of three adults with special needs in their homes. I would help them with a variety of things throughout the day including; showering, making food, dressing, going to different outings and basically their every day lives. I have also been a nanny for three children and one had special needs. I was there before they woke up, made breakfast, helped them get ready for the day, go on outings some days or stayed around the house. I took them to any appointments they had. I would basically made sure their every day needs were meet. I also volunteer for a non-profit therapy organization with those who are mentally or physically disabled, this has really made my passion grow to help those with special needs. This was a program with horses that they rode and worked on any areas they were struggling. I really enjoy babysitting and working with younger children! I am going to school to become a teacher, I will be double majored with Elementary and Special Education.
