I was a gymnastics instructor at Gymini Athletics for 4 years; I coached children of all ages: 16 months to 13 yrs old. I helped start a special needs gymnastics class at Gymini and it has became one of my favorite classes to teach. This job sparked my interest in children and lead me in the direction of becoming a professional child therapist. I am a student at WKU, with a major in psychology. My current minors are in Spanish. Through my previous babysitting and coaching experiences, and through what I have learned in school, I am able to come up with new games and activities that children love! I have learned to be well organized and clean. I understand that each child is his/her own person, and I will adapt my babysitting style accordingly. I was raised to love sports and outdoors, and I am a huge fan of arts and crafts! I love all animals, although I am allergic to cats. I attend school on Tuesdays and Thursdays but I am available all other days.

We have had five people watch our two boys over the last four years, and Mariah was by far the absolute best. She watched our boys from early 2018 to November 2019. She was wonderful with both boys (6&9 yrs old), who are very different in their personalities and needs (9 yr old is on the spectrum). She kept them engaged with a variety of activities, inside and outside of the house. Mariah is excellent (impressive) at keeping the boys within behavior boundaries, very patiently but firmly. The boys feel completely comfortable with her and have never complained (except when Mariah enforces the rules, just like Mom & Dad would, which is important!). We moved across the country and we'll miss Mariah, who became an extended part of our family. She also watched our dog at times when we went out of town. Any family would be lucky to have her!
