I have had a couple years experience dealing with people with special needs. In high school I was part of the Best Buddies organization which partners students with other students that have special needs and together they build relationship by hanging out in and outside of school. While in this organization I also began to TA for a special needs where I got to spend more time with all the students and I became significantly more comfortable with all of them and I learned how to deal with different needs and learned to have more patience. I am very comfortable caring for someone with special needs despite age and diagnosis.
