I am a semi-retired, college graduate, and a mother of a 19-year-old college student. I am an experienced Sunday school teacher/assistant, and I am energetic and creative. I enjoy kids, especially the younger ones, and have fun making up creative art projects, dances, and make-believe. I also like working with elders, basically to drive them to shops and appointments, and keep them company. I am good with computers, photography, writing and drawing. I also have good organizational skills, and am patient, and empathetic. I would like to be a family assistant, caregiver, companion, errand-runner, and basically help out where needed. I worked for over 20 years at a large aerospace/defense company where I held a secret security clearance from the Defense Department (so you know I have been thoroughly checked out). This type of clearance is difficult to attain and maintain, so it is a testament to my honesty and character. I worked in a publications department where my job included everything from word processing to illustrations, creating presentations, organizing charity events for the company. During that time, I volunteered as a Sunday school teacher/assistant for at least 10 years, cared for my elderly mother, as well as my family, and continued to help look after the neighborhood elders. Currently, I am a volunteer at a Police Department and again, for this position, I had to have a thorough background check, polygraph test, and multiple interviews. Most of my volunteer time is spent on community projects such as assisting with safety seminars for seniors, parents, and children. My hours are flexible and I am ready to help! Thank you.
