I believe my upbringing (as one of 10 children), work background, education (Bachelors and Masters degrees) and personality all contribute to my success as a Companion/Caregiver/Case Manager for Seniors. My personality is outgoing/friendly; I am very good at engaging people in conversations, have a great sense of humor and love to laugh! I am also very patient, caring and empathetic. In addition to traditional care giving duties, I have functioned as a Case Manager, ie., accompanying my client to doctors appts., taking notes, managing medications, communicating between patient and doctors, and the like. My experience with Seniors includes: 1) Working as a Cook and Case Mgr. for a 76 yr. old Denver man with Parkinson's. 2) Working for a family here in the Denver area, as a companion to their 90-year-old mother who had dementia; 3) Caregiver for my Partner throughout his 1 yr. fighting liver cancer; 4) Caregiver/Companion for an 86 yr. old senior with early stages of dementia.

Margaret looked after our 95 year old mother, for a few months and we would hire her back in a snap! She is so down to earth, personable and competent. My mom adored her! Margaret helped with the everyday needs of my mom, she was the perfect companion. She took the time to get to know my mother, help her eat, play games, cards puzzles. She effectively communicated to our family and recommended changes at her nursing facility. We are thankful that she came into our mother's life.
