About Makayla

Hi, my name is Makayla! I have 3 years of experience in childcare and tutoring, with much of my experience coming from community service and volunteer work. I previously volunteered at the Museum of Science & History (MOSH), where I worked as a tour guide teaching children about science and history through interactive explanations and art projects. During my undergraduate years, I also volunteered as a tutor at a community center where I helped elementary school students with homework and built positive relationships with the children. In addition, I regularly help tutor and mentor my middle school-aged nieces, which has strengthened my patience, communication skills, and ability to connect with children of different ages and learning styles. I am currently pursuing my J. D. and hope to continue working in childcare. I'm dependable, patient, organized, and caring, and I enjoy creating a supportive, positive environment where children can learn, grow, and have fun!
