I have much experience helping out and caring for special needs children. My cousin (Aged 9) has down-syndrome. Whenever she comes over to visit I'm left in charge to take care of her to let her parents have a break! I love spending time with her. She likes a lot of the things I do like painting, drawing, or any kind of crafts. That can keep us busy for HOURS! Of course I have to follow her special diet too, no gluten! No gluten is pretty simple. She also needs help with other chores such as going to the potty and brushing her teeth, walking up the stairs is also a challenge but one she always seems to love tackling! I have also babysat two twin boys with down-syndrome every Wednesday morning at Church in the Child Care facility for 4 years! It was a true gift being able to watch them grow into the boys they are now! This is just a fraction of my experiences though, through my churches Child Care service I've really gotten to help children with MANY disorders.
