I am Early Childhood Special Education certified. I have a lot of experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (although I have never met two children who are alike with the disorder). I also have a younger brother who is diagnosed with Autism and Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome. He is my world. I feel very blessed to have been given this gift that has opened a world of doors to me.

I am writing this recommendation at the request of Madeline who is applying for a job. I have known her for two years. We have worked alongside one another in the same grade level for the past two academic school years, 2012-2014. She has a number of strengths to offer your company. She is an effective, efficient, and enthusiastic professional at our school. She manages instructional time well. She is always prepared and utilizes many materials that are created by her and shared amongst her grade level colleagues and greater school community. For the time I have known her she has established and maintained a healthy and positive classroom atmosphere where collaboration is expected. This allows for a greater degree of on task behavior from her students. The students in her classroom reach their full potential and feel free to take risks both academically and socially. She is able to design developmentally appropriate tasks for her students that encouraged them to draw from personal experiences to make connections to their learning. The tasks that she develops meet a broad range of learners and take into consideration each child's individual learning differences. She continually monitors her student's progress and her student's progress through reflective questioning and observation. She is an asset to our grade team, school, and community. She is sensitive to the learning differences of all students and uses her creative ability to enhance their learning. I highly recommend her for any teaching position.
