I first came in contact with special needs kids when I was 15 working at a day camp for kids with disabilities. From that point forward I have continued to work with kids with disabilities in different capacities. Two years ago I started working as a coordination therapist with a young boy who has high functioning autism and I love every minute of it! I have since started taking classes at college for special education and motor development. I also came from a home with a sister who had speech delays and eyesight problems. I have also worked for 4 years in a daycare and seen a wide variety of disabilities, including but not limited to, ADD, ADHD, and autism. I would love to chat more about my experience and provide some references!
