My background includes a parent with ALS and dementia. I assisted her to doctor's appointments took her to the hairdressers & nail salon bathed and dressed her and fed her. I did this for 3 years until she was no longer able to stay at home. I have worked with a 60 year woman with progressive multiple sclerosis I assisted her with her daily activities, escorting her to and from doctor's appointments and physical therapy I also followed up with the physical therapy at home. Her surrogate told me she saw an improvement in her in the time that I had been working with her (2 years). I worked with a 30-year-old woman who is both intellectually and physically challenged. I am more of a companion with her I take her out for walks we go to movies, the mall, aquarium, basically whatever she wants to do (2 years) and am currently assisting a 78-year-old woman with Alzheimer's. I am kind, caring, compassionate and trustworthy. I find this work to be very rewarding.
