I have over 20 years experience being caregiver/companion for seniors beginning with my own family (mother, aunts and cousins). I have taken care of ladies in the beginning stages of dementia. I was a live-in caregiver for a man 85 who asked if I could stay on and care for his wife (90) after he passed, which I did until her son came to live with her. My last position 03/2020 to 10/2020 as she caught pneumonia in October.... I was hired as a companion, caregiver, cook, light housekeeping, medication, bathe/dress. I make a personal chart of medications with times taken and BP taken. I also make a personal items list to ensure we don't run out of items ( shampoo, soap, medications etc.).
