About Lucy

I am a certified elementary teacher (PreK-6) and reading specialist with 10+ years of classroom experience. I hold a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's in Reading Curriculum and Instruction. I specialize in building foundational reading skills, reading comprehension, and writing abilities using a structured literacy approach. I also have experience teaching and tutoring elementary math. I have worked successfully with a wide range of learners, including students with dyslexia, ADHD, and special education services. I am passionate about providing personalized instruction and believe every student can succeed with the right strategies and support. I am known for being kind, patient, organized, and communicative with students and families. I am currently seeking summer tutoring opportunities.
