I am available to provide care for special needs children. My experience is with my youngest sister who has Down syndrome, an occasional seizure, and is mentally challenged. I grew up assisting my parents with her everyday needs and learning to understand her very limited speaking ability. I currently oversee her care in a group home near my home in Arlington, doing her laundry, taking her to doctor and dentist appointments, and occasional outings for shopping, haircuts, etc. Through these years of experience, I have an understanding and compassion for assisting other handicapped or challenged children.
