Hi! I am Lori, a 64-year-young experienced nanny. I am a mother myself to two grown sons one with developmental and learning disabilities. I have been a professional childcare for the last 20 years. I have watched for families with one child and families with more, plus several families with twins. I have done pretty much everything for my families including infant care, washing the children's clothes and dishes. I have prepared meals and given medicines and supplements. I am very hands on! I believe children should have a balanced life. There should be times of one on one, then also independent play and quiet time. Education is key but at young ages, it has to be made fun. I love to help nurture and reach what are the future minds and hearts of this world we live in. I am First Aid and CPR certified. I have a medical background as well as some childhood education. I do what I do because I believe children are. priceless and should be cared for with much attention.

I'm limited on words, so here is a summary - Showed up an hour earlier than expected - interrupted our plans but that's fine. Does NOT have her own transportation and demanded that we provide her a ride after an open beverage rehearsal dinner and late evening. We instead agreed to give her an extra $20 for a car service. she claimed it was a normal request... it isn't. Took care of our daughter for 5 hours in the room. No issues. Next day, she texted me saying shes going to Urgent Care for low blood sugar and tried to tell me it was because I didn't provide a meal for her.... in a hotel room..... for a 5 hour shift. Absolutely ridiculous. Again claimed its "normal" for us to provide this. Again.. no its not. Not one sitter we've hired has EVER demanded a ride or a meal. Get with the times and provide your own stuff. We ended up having to frantically search for another sitter last minute. Luckily we were able to find somebody. Crisis averted. We will NOT be hiring her again for our trips.
