My name is Lorie and I am a mother of 5 and a new grandmother of a 2-month-old boy. My experience in caring for children began many years ago when I would babysit my little sisters and brother. Then it continued when I had my own children. They are 21, 20, 13, 7, and 5 years old. I have also worked in a school as a teacher's assistant with children with and without disabilities that range from 4th grade to 12th grade. I worked at the school for 8 years. I have worked for a babysitting company and then with Autistic children. I worked one on one with Autism students and as a group. I would babysit my former students children as well. I then began working with preschoolers 4 years ago and that is where I have remained. Overall, I have had experience with children with many different disabilities physically, emotionally and behaviorally and with many diversities. I believe I am passionate about what I do because all I've done is care for/teach children.
