I have worked with children with PDD-NOS from ages 6-18 in a private home setting. While obtaining my degree in Special Education at Texas State my field work included non-verbal students on the autism spectrum as well as students with visual impairments, deaf/hard of hearing, AD/HD, and various learning and intellectual disabilities. I also have 15+ years experience up to 2013 (before going back to school full time) as a nanny/caregiver for families with children ages infants-18 years of age. I volunteered to teach home-schooled beginning basics to ASL as well as basics level Botany. I am graduating from Texas State University with a BA in SPED All-Levels INTD studies. I am currently looking into graduate school programs. I have always felt called to work with families and children in some way. If there is a student or child with a need I am unfamiliar with, I utilize all my resources to provide the best care possible while in cohesive communication with the parents.
