I am a caregiver but I have 15 years of experience as an educator for the special needs. I was a paraprofessional for 15 years all together. My first job was in 1998. I worked for the special school district. I was there for 6 years. I then taught at public schools as a substitute teacher and a instructional care person. I worked alone with a Down syndrome student. When I resigned from there, I worked for another school district as a paraprofessional. I have worked with students who have autism, Down syndrome and mental behavior disorders of all kinds.
