I have worked in care-giving both in homes and in residential/group homes with varying levels of developmental disabilities, close to 20 years now. I currently see a 14-year-old boy on weekdays with cerebral palsy and other conditions. I worked 2 years with an 11-year-old with CP, but due to positive family changes, my position has changed to PRN status to allow more integrated family time for them with no staff present. I have worked with most ages and disabilities, with various physical and developmental conditions. I have used various lifts, will perform transfers, and am familiar with care for individuals with trachea, G or J-tubes, seizure disorders, etc. I am CPR/First Aid certified. I am willing to work every other weekend or one weekend day.
