I have had over 12 years of experience with children and adults with special needs of various types. I have also provided after school care for another family with an Autistic child for a school year in Florida prior to moving to Illinois in 2009. I was also a Direct Support Professional working with adults with a variety of special needs diagnosis. Collectively I have experience working with non-verbal individuals, ABA therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, social integration, sensory integration, feeding disorders and feeding therapy, oppositional defiance disorder, neurological disorders including seizures, physical impairments including wheeled-chairs and associated medical equipment require in the transport and care of individuals, respiratory ailments including emergency asthma treatment, nebulizer treatments and various other areas regarding treatment management and self care.
