I have witnessed this time and time again in my life working with special needs people and senior adults. I say this in regards to how society sometimes regards people. My experience includes 10 years aiding families with special needs, mild/moderate and severe/profound children and adults. During that time, I was providing respite and PCA hours inside my client's home. I understand that I am there to help provide a better quality of life for that person. I am there to assist the family and respect their home environment. For years, I have cared for my mom and other elderly family members through multiple health concerns, so I understand what it is like to maintain their quality of life while adhering to safety/medical guidelines, juggling appointments and errands, household chores, hygiene and meals, as well as just being there to listen and keep company. It is a rewarding world to know that I can aid in a situation. I can give patience, empathy, support & hugs.
