About Linda

I have raised 3 children of my own. The youngest has developmental disabilities. She is 22 years old now. Through those years, and especially through the 22-year-old, I have learned the art of being loving and compassionate, yet consistent and firm. I have taught Sunday School for 2nd and 3rd graders for many years. I have always enjoyed children and even though my children are now grown, I have recently acquired my Teacher's Assistant Certification to continue working with children in a school/day care setting. Although it wasn't with children, I worked as a communications instructor with people with special needs for 9+ years. In this capacity, I led interactive music groups where I played guitar and those that were verbal could sing along and those that weren't would play instruments to the best of their ability. I also led art and creative writing groups because I strongly believe that the creative arts help with personal expression. I believe this important for all ages, especially in the formative years of young children.
