I have several years' experience working with children with varying needs and abilities. I am currently working as a special education paraprofessional in the public school system. In the past I have facilitated emotion regulation and social skills groups as an art therapist, and managed an after school program. I have experience addressing the needs of children with ADD, ASD, ID, emotional/behavioral challenges, Trisomy-related syndromes, sensory integration difficulties, and physical limitations. I am trained and have experience in de-escalation techniques, and cognitive, behavioral, and expressive therapies. I believe that all children deserve the best possible care/education and work with families to meet the needs of their children. I love learning new things, sharing interests, and engaging and connecting with children of all ages and backgrounds.
